Regardless of the context, learning happens every day. This is true whether we attend formal classes, play games on our phones, binge-watch the latest Netflix series, or find ourselves stuck at home for months on end. How do you learn best, and might learning look like in this context? What kind of support do you or others need in your learning now and in general? Co-hosted by Portland Underground Graduate School and Alder Commons, we'll talk about engaged learning, and solicit feedback on how we can best support you in what you want to learn next.
PUGS and our Virtual Happy Hour speakers have donated their time and platform to make this event possible. If you enjoy the experience and are in a position to donate, we would be delighted if you could support Alliance for Self-Directed Education, as they are providing resources to many families who are finding themselves unexpectedly at home with their young family members for the foreseeable future.
Karl Keefer and Rachel Munzig are on the Organizing Team for Alder Commons, a nonprofit all-ages community learning center in NE Portland. They are working to create possibilities for more people to develop their passions and pursue their interests. Karl worked as a software developer, and Rachel as an Arborist, before they transitioned to working in alternative education.
