Mental Health First Aid

Self-care and zoom happy hours aren't enough for some members of our community.   Over the next few weeks our friends, neighbors (both housed and unhoused) and family will be experiencing an increase in mental health symptoms due to isolation and lack of access to basic resources.  Just like the physical health system, mental health professionals are straining to meet the needs of our community.

We need your help to keep people safe.

This happy hour will cover the basics of mental health risk assessment and safety planning.  The goal is to provide the skills to conduct a basic suicide risk interview, create safety plans and assist crisis professionals in the event of a mental health emergency.

PUGS and our Virtual Happy Hour speakers have donated their time and platform to make this event possible. If you enjoy the experience and are in a position to donate, we would be delighted if you could support p:ear.
